Less than 20 minutes from the golf course, come discover a piece of Brittany’s history and visit the Château de Combourg. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was once home to the famous writer Chateaubriand, who immortalized it in his *Memoirs from Beyond the Grave*.
The castle, built between the 11th and 15th centuries, has served in turn as a fortress, the birthplace of Romanticism, and a military hospital, and is still home to the author’s descendants today.
Step inside the building for a 45-minute guided tour with commentary, or stroll through the 25-hectare English-style park at your leisure.
